WELCOME TO PET TRAVEL NORTH EAST
We are an online service dedicated to providing low-cost animal health certificates for pet travel to the EU. Our official veterinarian has 20 years of experience issuing pet travel documentation.
OUR SERVICES
ANIMAL HEALTH CERTIFICATE
Animal health certificate to allow up to 5 pets to travel from the UK to the EU.
£100 for the first pet, £30 for each additional pet. A maximum of 5 pets can travel on an AHC.
This is a 'click and collect' service. The AHC will be organised online, then issued and collected at a mutually convenient location within 10 days of your travel date.
URGENT AHC
For AHCs required within 5 days from time of enquiry.
This service is subject to availability of our veterinarian.
£170 for the first pet and £30 per additional pet up to 5 pets maximum per certificate.
EXPORT HEALTH CERTIFICATES
We do not presently issue EHCs. Please contact your primary veterinary surgeon or read further information here
HOME VISIT
To keep the cost of our AHCs low we arrange to meet the pet and owner at a convenient location to issue the AHC.
Home visits to issue the AHC can be considered dependent on location and availability of our veterinarian and cost will depend on mileage.
ABOUT PET TRAVEL NORTH EAST
Shona McKay BVM&S MRCVS
Shona graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Services, Edinburgh in 2001.
In 2002 she qualified as a government 'local veterinary inspector' as they were called back then! Now known as 'official veterinarians' Shona is a private veterinary surgeon, qualified and authorised by the Animal and plant health agency to issue travel certificates for non-commercial travel of companion animals.
Shona has been issuing pet travel documentation through traditional veterinary practice for over 20 years but will now be offering a low cost, direct service for pet owners of the north east of England.

When you meet Shona to collect your animal health certificate you might also meet her new and slightly naughty side kick - Brodie the black labrador puppy!

COLLECTION HOURS
Once we have confirmed your AHC booking we will arrange a collection time and place.

Monday and Tuesday 9am - 2pm

Evening and weekend appointments or home visits may be available on request.

Collection hours will increase during popular holiday periods.
